January – Nick writing a Horrible Science Jigsaw Book on space. Expect a return visit from arrogant alien Oddblob and his ever-so stupid sidekick Slobslime. And who knows you might spot the purple slobwobbler flying in from Planet Wibble!
February – Nick writing a Horrible Science Handbook on shark-spotting. We are delighted to announce the return of Australia’s biggest journalist – the one and only HARVEY TUCKER. He’s big – he’s hungry and he’s after your hamburgers!
March – New editions of Frightening Light and The Body Owner’s Handbook out this month.
March – if you live in the West of England don’t miss Nick Arnold’s hilarious confessions from his mis-spent horrible life on 14 March hosted by Plymouth City Libraries. And if you live in Italy don’t miss Nick’s shows at the Festival Minimondo in Parma!
April – There’s a squishy avalanche of Horrible Science books out this month! They’re all new two-in one editions which means that you can read twice the horrible bits for the price of less than two books. Look out for Blood, Bones and Body Bits and Chemical Chaos, Bulging Brains and Disgusting Digestion, Deadly Diseases and Microscopic Monsters, Ugly Bugs and Nasty Nature. And if that isn’t enough there will be new editions of Painful Poison and The Terrible Truth about Time! Whew – whack me down with a sweaty hankie!
May – They just keep coming! Pester your parents and lock up your little brothers – it’s time for new editions of The Fight for Flight, Angry Animals and Killer Energy.
June – Wasted World – Nick’s new book whether or not all those gloomy headlines are the end of the world hits the bookshelves this month. And if that’s not squishy enough look out for the Seriously Squishy Jigsaw Book from Galt and The Bulging Box set with ooo-ooodles of revolting titles from Horrible Science!
July – Something scary is happening in the book shops as even more new-look Horrible Science titles creep in. This month it’s time for Evil Inventions and Measly Medicine to give your little sister bad dreams (serves her right for peeping at your books!) Oh yes, and there’s new combined editions of Killer Energy and Shocking Electricity and Frightening Light and Sounds Dreadful and oh dear, my fingers have fallen off with all this typing!
September 26 to 4 October – It’s the Appledore Book Festival but I’m not allowed to tell you which wonderful authors are appearing it because it’s a BIG secret. So if you want to know what’s going on you had better visit the Appledore Book Festival website where all will be revealed but only from the start of May.
September – At last it’s here – The Horrible Science of YOU! It’s the sequel to The Horrible Science of Everything only this time it’s up close and personal and those are just the bloody bits!
October – TAKE COVER! It’s the 2010 Horrible Science Annual and it’s licensed to thrill.
